Rough Day
Bike Incident
I like to think of myself as pretty environmentally friendly. I recycle, bus to school, and ride my bike around town. Well today I decided to ride my bike to school, but after my classes I was tired and it was windy so I decided to just put my bike on the front of the bus and take the bus home. I got on the bus and saw a friend, we started talking on the bus and got off at our stop. I got home, walked upstairs, put my bag in my room and decided to lock the garage door since I road my bike… That’s when I remembered, my bike was still on the front of the bus. I forgot to take it off.
I jumped in my car and drove to campus to try and catch the bus at the end of its route. When I got their, the Route 3 Bus was sitting there already and had a different bike on it… I freaked out, ran inside to the TransFort counter and asked if anyone had brought a bike in cause I had lost mine in the last 20 minutes. She said the bus wasn’t there yet and to wait for it… I went back outside and waited ten minutes for it to get there. I let everyone get off so no one would see how big of a dumb ass I was for leaving it there. When I went to get it, the bus driver was staring at it confused why it was still there. I looked at him and said, “Yep… I forgot about it. You dropped me off about half an hour ago.” He laughed and so did I. I put the bike in my car and drove home.
Car Alarm
I rushed home at 6 to try to make it to my basketball game at 6:30, I ran inside and grabbed my stuff. While I was doing this though, my car was freaking out and the alarm would turn on for like 30 seconds, turn off for 10 seconds, and then repeat the cycle all over again. Lef said, “She is old man, she’s just cranky.” And then I said, “She’s 12 man, she’s just another emotional teenage girl.” I ran outside and the car stopped going off. I got in, and started the car, and drove away. Little did I know that Rachel, my car, had heard my comment. I got down the road about 20 yards before the alarm went off… while I was driving. I had no idea what to do. There were tons of people walking outside for some reason and were just staring at me. I wanted to yell out the window, “I’m an undercover cop, it’s my siren.” But I didn’t. I stopped the car and pulled the key out, put it back in and turned it back on… Nothing, car was still going off. I turned it back off and got out. I pressed every button on the key remote and then stuck the key in the door and locked it and unlocked it… Nothing, car alarm was still going off. I called Lef and said, “Dude, you’ll never believe it, the car alarm is going off when I’m driving.” The only thing he could say was, “Well that’s interesting.”
Cheers,
